Jax Jones & Years & Years Release A Candy-Filled ‘Play’ Video

January 29, 2019

If you thought the animated figurine versions of Jax Jones and Olly Alexander was the best thing ever, wait till you see the newly-released Play video that’s really a shopping cart-full of fun! The video takes place in Honey, I Shrunk The Kids sized supermarket where the duo break out in some killer dance moves whilst dodging life-size candy on a conveyor belt (that’s some talent!). But wait, there’s more! From dancing veggies to boxes of cereals to a kaleidoscope of lights, the entire video is really a grab bag of fun!

Earlier, Alexander said the duo “giggled the whole time and danced around. I wrote loads of ideas and then we picked the ones we liked and made the song out of it”. Aren’t we happy for this collab! Can we expect more from them? Well, we sure hope so!

The club banger has been topping charts worldwide and has really garnered a massive fan following. DJ Jax Jones has also recently been nominated for the Brit Award for British Video for Breathe. Something tell us this video will definitely be making it to some music video noms for 2019.

By the way, did you know Jax Jones got his name from the famous English expression “Jack Jones” which means to “be on one’s own” and do you know why he’s mini-obsessed with household items? Find out from our exclusive interview with Jax Jones on Loud & Clearly.
