Watch: The Game Of Thrones Documentary “Last Watch” Is Coming!
May 16, 2019
Our watch is ending.
As Game of Thrones comes to end, we’re holding onto 8 years of epic TV moments and re-runing them in our heads (and hearts). From the death of Ned Stark to Khaleesi’s walk in the fire to the rebirth of Jon Snow and so many more, this decade’s most watched TV series is leaving us with bittersweet feelings.
We’re extremely sad *miserable* that its coming to an end but we’re happy for all that it brought into our lives- daily dose of memes, office banters and of course, mind-blowing story telling. But there’s something to look forward to. The GoT producers have blessed us with a tell-all documentary that’s aptly named the “Game of Thrones: Last Watch” that will release right after the last episode.
In a statement, HBO said the doc will delve “deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland… Much more than a ‘making of’ documentary, this is a funny, heartbreaking story, told with wit and intimacy, about the bittersweet pleasures of what it means to create a world – and then have to say goodbye to it.”
Watch the trailer here. Warning: it will get you emotional, if Kit Harrington is crying, so are we!
“From director Jeanie Finlay, a farewell to Westeros with the people who built the realm.”
The two-hour documentary will premieres May 26 on HBO, so mark your calendars fellow Thronees.
