Luca Parmitano Will Be the First Man to Play a Live DJ Set from Space

Luca Parmitano is an Italian astronaut with the European Astronaut Corps for the European Space Agency (ESA) and he’s about to become the first DJ to play a live set from outer space! He will setting off into space on July 20th and will make his debut space performance on August 13th which will be aired live from the International Space Station. We can’t wait to see this epic set liftoff!

Parmitano received some training from BigCityBeats and German DJ Le Shuuk who’ve prepped him for his outer space music mission!  Le Shuuk was part of Big City Beats’ Zero Gravity gig.

The live set will be streamed via satellite and will be aired at the BigCityBeats’ World Club Dome Cruise Edition. The luxury cruise will welcome on board EDM artists like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Don Diablo, Robin Schulz, Lost Frequencies, Timmy Trumpet and many more! The biggest party on water is set to take place on August 12.

Earlier this week, NASA also asked fans to send in song requests for their #NASAMoonTunes.
