I started my career as a DJ at when I was 17, as I was fascinated with the art of mixing two songs together in time. Most of my friends had turntables. I would always borrow them to teach myself how to mix records.

With a good sense of rhythm from playing drums, I would always count beats of four-four in my head to keep the songs in time. This natural ear that I have for music and beats is what enabled me to mix.


I learnt to mix on vinyl, buying records on a weekly basis in the hard-to-find record stores of London like Uptown Records, Black Market Records, Plastic Fantastic, and Vinyl Junkies. This was a pleasure for me to listen to hundreds of records and choose the ones that made my hips and head move. I always play music that I like which is why I have a unique sound as a DJ.
